Under 15 & Under 18 girls teams up and running at Stafford RUFC.

 

Good News for Womens Rugby in Stafford as Stafford Rugby Club has started up their under 15 and under 18 girls teams with a total of fifteen girls turning up to training each week!  Coaches Mick Jones and Richard Gayton hold training on a Wednesday Evening alongside the Senior Ladies      which starts at 7pm.  All Senior Ladies and U18 and U15 wishing to participate or interested shall be welcomed to any training session.  Any questions, call Ladies Captain Carla Lund on 07985 585 033.

Stafford Rugby Club County Success for Girls and Ladies.

 

STAFFORD RUGBY CLUB had the honour of hosting the Staffordshire Rugby Union Ladies County Selections for the first time on Sunday 19th October 2008 with thirteen of the Clubs Players securing their positions within the squad. Congratulations to Abi Maguire and Chelsea Fuggle for the under 15’s, Emily Jane Bennett, Emma Jones and Zoe Burrows for the under 18’s and Carla Lund, Dee Holsworth, Jools Whitmee, Judy Maguire, Kerry, Laura Sheppard, Lynda Cullen and Vicky Stuart who all secured their places in the senior side. Staffordshire’s next match will be on the Sunday, 16th November against Notts, Lincs and Derbys Ladies at Lichfield RUFC,
 
 

Ladies in Altrincham RUFC 12's   
Rugby Challenge

Congratulations to Lynda Mooney, Fiona Gardener and Carla Lund, for  entering into the Altrincham RUFC '12 Rugby Challenge' on Sunday 24 August, where users participate in Women’s Rugby from one to 8 hours of rugby between 8am and 8pm, between them playing just over 20 hours of rugby.
Stafford are welcoming returning and new players to training on wednesdays evening from seven and sunday afternoon from 12.00pm.

Laides Team Awarded More Money.
 
Stafford Ladies have been awarded £250 from the first ever “Toolbox Grant” from the RFUW for the recruitment of new Players and retention of Existing through new training and first aid equipment which is also gratefully received. 

Any players are welcome to join in and with the great news that the Girls U15 and U18 hopefully starting this season all enquiries are gratefully welcomed.
